I just noticed a misconception I have carried for some time. There was a card that I was certain cost four power points, but that actually only costs two -- the difference between the card being attractive and virtually unusable. I believe my misconception arose because, at one point, the card did cost 4, but was reduced during some update and I did not notice.
It would not surprise me if other players don't sometimes automatically skip over cards because they are considering the card as it may have once been, rather than its is now. Let this post remind players that changes do occur, and not all are well publicized. It is wise to occasionally re-examine cards.
By the way, I do not want this interpreted as a criticism of card changes. It is impossible to predict how all cards will play out, and the goblins have done an excellent job both of changing needed imbalances and making almost every card useful. I appreciate the efforts to make cards attractive -- I simply rue that I didn't notice this now attractive card sooner.
Incidentally, the changes are posted here, on the news page and occasionally on the App Store itself (if few in number). For a time anyway.
We do plan to improve a few more next time, but only cards that are currently a liitle too weak. None will have their function altered, they might get reduced cast cost, or a plus 1 health or suchlike.
What I did in the past was add a News link to the menu above, which then had info about card updates and the latest faction. I must make sure I put it back when the day comes.
The next update is taking quite long because we want to have a chat-room lobby kind of thing, which should help in finding opponents. Not sure how Mike is progressing with that. I recommend you badger him and make sure he feels the pressure. Mwahahaha.
